There are a myriad of phobias and fears that affect people during their lives.

Most of them are designed to keep us safe - fear of heights for example stops us from getting too close to the edge and falling!!

However some fears can be restrictive - fear of driving can make people isolated; fear of flying stops you from enjoying a foreign holiday; fear of public speaking can hold back a career; fear of confined spaces can restrict where you go.  Fear of the dentist can make the yearly trip a trauma; fear of needles can make a trip to the doctors so much harder than it should be.
